ArPee

what work?..

been running away from all forms of work

work's really bad for health

money's really not an issue

60,000 people have died

that's an issue

hope we're going back to making noise soon..

The members of ArPee have been busy working. This may seem demoralising, but in actual fact we are building up team rapport among the band and earning money!

How will this benefit YOU, the listener?

Our earnings will go under careful expenditure; investment in jamming and recording sessions and the like. This means songs with better sound quality JUST FOR YOU.

More reasons to come in the next entry! Meanwhile, please remember that we love each and every one of you. We'd love to update the blog as often as we could but work and school has been taking a toll on all of us.

We've got 2 new songs in construction and they're going to blow you away even more, though. Can't wait to see you guys at Thumper Bar!

Ahh, finally a band blog update from anyone but Ari and I. Yes, Ais you have good taste in music. I wouldn't mind doing a cover of Intramural. It'd be as tough as hell though. And Chelsea Logue's so pretty!!!! If I ever meet her I'll go lesbian and date her HAHAHAHAA.

The bassist is a nut. Six strings man; if I ever meet him I'll go back to being a girl and date him HEEHEEHEEEE. And steal his bass and be a normal person again.

We're a cool band. WE ARE STILL THE COOLEST BAND!! HYUK HYUK.

[SMP] Turn Back

Hello there! This is Johnny Jon Jon here! Updating yet again for my absent band members who are very much busy with their school stuff! Anyways, i was surfing the net and....wow!! Somebody actually reads this blog! Now that's a confirmation! Hahaz! Thanks! *ahem* let me quote what she quoted what i quoted during the AFUA show.

saw hj's friend claryce..hohoho. and a hot babe that looks like noelle.

anw the band performing was damn funny and funky I LIKE IT. this red johnny jon jon guitarist keep getting so high by himself and lets name some quotes from him,

johnny jon jon: "hey i have a relation with taufik batisah. i have NO relation with him"
johnny jon jon: "when i say BLOW, i want you all to say JOB"

and he said some brainteaser too but no one got it and no one answered him so he brushed past it and went on to introduce his band.

and they play good rocking music -thumbs up!-

and this girl member in the band was i think pointing to me on stage and asking whether i was what weikang?!?! gave me a big shock.. and after their performance, the red guitarist came up to us and asked if we enjoyed it and yah nice guy.

anyway the band's call ARPEE. can go take a look at their blog --> http://arpee.blogspot.com

Cool right? Wah!! Piang eh!! There were people out there who appreciated my humour!! Hahaz! And to think i nearly swore myself to silence on stage!!

Oh yeap, here's my recap of the AFUA show! It wasn't the tightest of sets but i sure did had alot of fun! Especially whipping the crowd into a frenzy with the word game! They were like asking for blowjobs!! Ok..not specifically... But...great! the crowd was really enthusiastic! I hope we get such a response from the next gig at the Thumper Bar!

Anyways, for all of you who actually read this blog, i have written a couple of new songs that the band will work on and will probably perform at least 1 for our next show. The latest that i wrote takes a dark and gothic approach. As compared to the three happy go lucky tuned songs that i wrote. So that's it from me i suppose. That means the band will be working on five new tunes! There's Different Worlds, Turn Back, Earthgrazer, Somewhere Beyond and Angel's Eulogy.

Angel's Eulogy is really a song about a kid who's giving up on life. I've decided to take a break from my usual writing style and strike out on a path less travelled by myself. It's really fun i must say. But depressing!

The rest of them are just typical me songs. I realised that everyone likes a part of my songs but not every single one of em? i safely conclude that maybe someday when i'm that damn good, i'm gonna release an album of my own. Johnny's greatest hits! 1 song with everybody's favourite verse or chorus crammed into it. Oh well..

Ok so there u have it people, a band update! Anyways, i'm collecting emails to add into our mailing list, if you're interested, just mail me at stuck_forever@yourass.com . I will add you to our ever growing mailing list! Last i counted, we had 200 over people on the list! So..join the ArPee band wagon and get those pee vats filled!

I leave you guys with a sample of Turn Back.

Turn back the time
Back to those days
When i enthralled your mind

We could watch the stars
Rise against and
Change the milky ways

Friday, December 03, 2004

Hey pals. Was back quite a while ago, sorry I haven't been updating.

All the hype about our first gig has probably died down, so we're going to revive your spirits with yet another gig! We're hoping it won't rain, cause we are so going to rock your asses till the seats will burn and you'll have no choice but to stand up and dance on the stage with us. You all know you're most welcome to do so.

So bring your packets of bee hoon and cans of beer to the Youth Park! We still have yet to find out who we'll be performing with; we'll update you asap yeap!

SO HERE GOES! THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

Event: ORCHARD JAM!
Venue: Youth Park
Date: December 11, Saturday
Time: 4pm

Our song lineup is not confirmed yet. Nevertheless, I reiterate that it is going to be a kickass show so it doesn't really matter NOW DOES IT!!

Many many thanks to AFUA (Arts For Us All), who have put in tons and tons of effort to make this event possible. It's people like Maxine, Jinwei, Ruimin and the rest of the crew who realise the importance of music in Singapore; and who seriously bother to take action. Our hearts go out to you guys. Thank you. :)

Love,
ArPee.

[SMP] Back At Ya

Hahaz. They kinda deserved it. I dun get it with people. Dun you people get it?! It just shows how vain you are! So what if your testimonials are gone? So what?! If people want to get around to writing you a new testi then that's good. Dun need to fucking force them to re write it for ya or anything. It just shows how vain you are! Sheesh. I lost my testimonials too, but who gives a damn anyways? U people are acting as if you guys lost your testes. Oh well, back at ya!

I posted a bulleting in Friendster with the heading "OK, i checked with Friendster's Staff about retrieving testimonials". But of course i didn't check with friendster's staff. The Pussy Who Lied.

Shagged. We're all shagged. Including the pussy who was with us this evening. But.. We've got all our songs purrrr-fected. (HAHA GEDDIT GEDDIT HAHAHA.) So doooods we've got the power!! Powerrrrrr!! :)

If people do visit our blog, here are some wise words on how to get to The Third Place.

1) Alight at Outram MRT.
2) Exit.
3) Take the overhead bridge, at which you will see a bus stop.
4) Board any of these: 33, 63, 75, 605,851,970
5) The Third Place is one stop away.

There'll be a yellow-orangey sign that reads "The Third Place". The stop's a little further upfront.

Thanks for the support, ya'll. Plus, RAFE and Pulse Ironica are performing. NEAAAAT. :)))

DOOOOODS!

Jamming tomorrow, 6 to 8 at Alvron okay? But hell, can we jam at Keith's or something, because you know HAHAHAHHA.

Should we get a message board? Or is it too uncool. Okay lah I shall sign up for one. And pardon us for this site; contrary to popular belief we do know it looks a fuck pathetic.

I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping.
ALLO ALLO!

[SMP] Chinatown Circle

The gig is in 6 days time inclusive of today. And i'm totally wrecked. Nervous yet excited! My second performing gig. It ought to be fun. It's been a long way. ArPee has been together for 2 years now. But if you take away the hiatuses and all the other lame reasons for not jamming, we've been together jamming for less than a month. This month, we jammed more than we jammed in the total of last year. All in preparation for just one gig. It's truly amazing.

Looking at a KFC commercial. I'm wondering. Their mascot is a chicken. How does a chicken feel promoting the consumption of his fellow chickens? Weird. Anyways, i hope to see you guys there at the gig itself! Meet me at Rendezvous Point?

Ari/Johnny Jon Jon

[SMP] Broken Hearts, Empty Smiles

Abit about the songs we write. Hahaz. Ok, i know it's a tad dumb. But yeah, if anybody's like reading this blog. Maybe you'd like to know how we come about with our songs. Well, as far as I can gather, all our songs were written in a state of heart breaks and heart aches. It's like chicken soup for the erotically wounded. Something along those lines. Well just thought i should write my two cents worth.

Saturday, November 06, 2004

Dooooods! We're doin it, whoo we're doin it. Jamming today was cool; I enjoyed every bit of it. I thank everyone who've made this possible.

"Whoa. Who the hell are these people. Nehver win anything still thank what shit"
